Them holding out as long as they can in anticipation of a consumer Oculus Rift is smart I'd say. Since it's cross platform I would hazard a guess that all console racers will pick it up anyways.

They were going to launch in November and bailed at the last minute. I think they are just trying to launch when no other racing games are coming out because there were 4 big racing launches at the time.

They shouldn't have said they were going to launch in November if it wasn't ready then. Plus they already said it was ready to go and they just wanted to add to it and launch when there were less direct competitors launching at the same time.

A lot of times in a large scale project like this, you don't know when it's going to be ready. Or you think your getting close to being finished, and you discover late in the game that there's far more work to do than you had guessed. Some game companies choose to take as much time as they need to finish the product, and I have respect for that. Others push the cowpie out the door because DEADLINEZ BRO TIEM IS MONAH, and we end up paying $60 for games that do this:

Launching a game in this state just because you said it'd be out by now is totally unprofessional. If the delays mean we get a complete functioning product when it finally launches then I've only one thing to say to that;
